New Job

I was offered a job for next school year! I will be the middle school counselor for Summit Academy in Draper Utah. I'm very excited! Now we just have to work on getting Derek a job!

Droid Post

i am posting with my new Droid. I have to admit it is nice being able to do just about everything on my phone... well everything but TALK! That has to be my biggest complaint so far. Phone calls are hard to hear and/or get dropped. I'd say more than half of my calls are dropped and short of powering the phone down it's nearly impossible to get the phone back to working order...because of course then it freezes your screen.
So i guess as long as you're not trying to actually use your phone as a phone they're grrrrrrrrrreat!
In other news....
I graduate on May 1st! I am thinking of having a little family get together for those that can make it seeing as Derek's B.day is the 2nd. So if you can make it we'd love to have you!
On that note... school is going well. I really enjoy working at the Middle School. I have a lot of students that I will miss when I'm gone... and some... not so much. But overall I am still really enjoying the experience and looking forward to full time work.
We are still actively looking for a job for Derek. The shortage in job openings with the economy is really hurting our little family. We are still holding onto the faith that something better is on the horizon. Please keep us in your prayers.

Sick of being Sick

I love Halloween... I know it's not the best holiday around but I just love it. I guess because my mom always made it so fun. This year I was to sick to even dress up... Last year was so much fun though. Tracie and I were able to fly home for Halloween. It was such a blast! This year Tracie came to my school to help me teach a lesson on Friday and brought Lola in her frog costume. SO CUTE! ... I also got a little puppy on Halloween! We named her Willow. I will get some pictures of her up soon. She's staying with Tracie right now since Derek and I are sick and since I'm never home... she probably should be Tracie's puppy - but for now I'm going to call her mine :)

Snowing

Well - it's snowing... I don't know how I feel about that.
I have been looking forward to fall but then with snow - it just feels like fall is over and winter is HERE.. I'm NOT ready for Winter...
I wish we could move somewhere warmer.

Things are going well in the Jensen household. We are in the process of switching our bedroom to the back bedroom and turning our old bedroom into my office/guest bedroom. The problem is with me working 2 jobs the only time I have to work on it is Sunday... so not ideal - but I don't really have a choice...

I'm hoping that by the beginning of next year I'll know if I'm going to have a job or not. I hate being an intern - but I know it's all part of the process. I just wish this part was over.

Derek seems to be doing well. Although I don't understand everything of what he tells me I know that he is doing a lot of good things and hopefully they will decide to hire him on full time come January.

Man - it's crazy how fast this year has gone by....I can't believe it's almost November and then Christmas shortly after that and then New Years and then BOOM - another year...

This getting old thing is not working out for me....

Hello all - things are looking up in the Jensen household. As some of you know Derek finally got a job - after 9 months of being unemployed he is currently working for AMEX and is doing some good things there!
I am still doing my internship as a counselor in a middle school in the newly created Canyons District. Very excited - a little stressed out - but only because I'm still working at the bank and doing the internship and going to class - so a VERY full schedule.
